Time/Schedule
The length of this training is approximately 1 hour.
Description
This training offers a flexible, self-paced review of HUD's Notice PIH 2025-28. HUD provides public housing agencies (PHAs) and Moving to Work (MTW) PHAs with a set of cost-saving strategies to reduce Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) expenses in the HCV and PBV programs and prevent funding shortfalls.
This course provides knowledge of the three action categories HUD requires and recommends for PHAs to take before considering termination of HAP programs.
Through engaging modules, you'll review where HAP funding comes from along with the meaning of being in shortfall, examine the required Category 1 actions relating to standard compliance and management, review the optional Category 2 actions that are dependent on the condition of the PHA, recognize the Category 3 actions that require HUD approval, and summarize what occurs during the termination of assistance.
Real-world examples and case-based activities throughout the course help reinforce learning and connect conecepts to practice. Whether you're looking to build your knowledge or preparing for certification, this course gives you the tools to confidently interpret and apply HUD's PIH 2025-28 Notice.
